Purple baroque Thank You card

I chose a baroque theme for my Thank You card because I had fallen in love with this patterned paper a while ago but never got round to actually using it until now.

In my opinion, its ornate flourishes in matted silver are quite decorative already so the card didn't need much embellishing. Apart from the sentiment of course, I only added gems and a ribbon bow.

In order to make it easier to find colour matching embellishments to go with this reddish tone of purple, I decided to sort my box of purple embellishments into "blue hues" and red hues".

Hi
Very elegant card, Love the way you have done the card. Less is more and it has proved so with your card.

Thank you for the comment on my blog, I have left you a reply, but I thought I would pop over and visit you.
I have been tatting over 40years, the happy heart took I expect around an hour I did not time myself. If you would like to learn tatting let me know and I will help you, tatting makes some lovely bits for cards and clothes plus of course household items.

Hi Agnes,

Thank you for your comment on my blog (about tatting). I thought I would reply here because I didn't know if you'd see my reply to your comment. Anyway, I can only highly recommend tatting as there are endless little motifs you can make if you want to use them for cards. I'm obviously biased but the beauty of tatting is that it can be as simple or as complex as you wish and even from the beginning you can tat appealing little flowers that are quick to make.
All good wishes,
Frivole
