Pork chopper Valentine's card

Riders of this sort of bikes are sometimes referred to as Road Hogs... which is why the little porker is shown here! The stamp is from Totally Stampalicious and the road stamp (background stripes) is from DRS designs.

Hot pink stripes for Valentine's day

This Valetine's card is embellished with paper strips on which I stamped and embossed in white detail powder. The central strip is a broad sized satin and organza ribbon with a rub on message.

Hot pink felt butterfly

This multi-purpose card is embellished with a broad felt butterfly. For the background I used a broad sized, patterned organza ribbon alongside two pretty paper borders. Felt, paper and Organza, that's embellishing in three textures!

Red, white and beige bauble card

When taking down the Christmas decorations, I put most of the cards we have been sent in a box, too - in order to use bits from them in my own card making. I like to recycle the images into completely different and more elaborate cards, and it's fun to coordinate them with matching embellishments from my stash.

Here, I added a length of red ribbon - also recycled from a box of yummy Christmas chocolates - and punched a beige border with my Martha Stewart loop punch. The snowflakes are punched out of textured wall paper.

Tartan pin board card for a sporty man

The vintage "High Striker" connotation with fairground attractions and the winner's cup seemed to go well with the tartan patterned card base which I found a week ago at the local Lidl supermarket. To my surprise they were labelled "Christmas card" - not sure why as there's nothing christmassy about it... they are blank inside, too.

To add an element of surprise, I tarted up the plain kraft inside of the card with an inlay which I gold embossed with the scores of "Happy Birthday to you", that is a DRS stamp.

This altered box was once containing gravy granules - it comfortably fits 4 mince pies now.

Autumn bird landing

The muted colours of this Thanksgiving card give it an autumn feel. At the moment the card is still "all purpose" - because I'm a little late now I have decided to leave the Happy Thanksgiving sentiment off. I might end up just putting a Thanks on it instead. Sometimes these general cards can be handy to have in your stack, for last minute calls on a card.
